What is Major Choice?

Major Choice provides personalized online mentoring for students with disabilities who are unsure about their future career or educational path. Our experienced mentors guide these students through a journey of self-exploration, career discovery, and life skills, helping them identify their passions and map out the steps needed to achieve their goals. Whether it's college, vocational training, or entering the workforce, Major Choice offers flexible, holistic support that builds confidence and empowers students to thrive.

I’m worried my student is too busy.

We understand that students have busy schedules. That's why Major Choice is designed to be flexible and adaptable. We'll work with you to create a personalized plan that fits your student's needs and commitments. Even a small amount of time dedicated to exploring their passions can make a big difference!

Is this an online only course?

Major Choice offers flexible online mentoring for busy students. We connect with students wherever they are, matching them with the perfect mentor based on their needs. It's not about academics; it's about building confidence, fostering accountability, and helping students navigate their world. Our personalized guidance proves that meaningful mentorship and personal growth can thrive online.

How much does it cost?

We believe that every student should have access to opportunities that ignite their passions. We're thrilled that for eligible students with 504 plans and IEPs, the NH Department of Education and Vocational Rehabilitation will fund Major Choice. We also offer private pay options for students without IEP or 504 plans. 

Is my student too lost for Major Choice?

That's precisely why Major Choice can be so beneficial! It's designed to help students who feel lost or uncertain explore their interests and discover their passions. Our experienced mentors will guide them through the process and help them find their way.

How old does my student have to be to enroll in Major Choice?

Major Choice is designed for students ages 16-24. Our holistic approach ensures that students are matched with the right mentor. 

What if my student doesn't want to go to college.

That's perfectly fine! Major Choice isn't just about college preparation. It's about helping students explore all their options and find pathways that align with their goals. Whether they pursue college, vocational training, or entrepreneurship, Major Choice can equip them with the skills and experiences they need to succeed."

What if my student has too much anxiety and / or not enough motivation for this course?

We understand how anxiety and motivation can impact a student's success. Major Choice mentors are trained to provide a supportive and encouraging environment, helping students build confidence and develop strategies to manage anxiety. We'll work with your student at their own pace, fostering intrinsic motivation by connecting them with their passions and creating a personalized plan for their future.
